Dubrovnik is a unique hoard of cultural, historical and artistic possessions. Its story has been written in stone the everlasting symbol of strength and preservation.
The history of Dubrovnik is carved out in walls, squares, fountains and ports, monasteries, and churches, a testament to the turbulent past of the Dubrovnik people and offering its visitors a unique combination of Mediterranean climate and centuries-old heritage. The Old Town is the pedestrianized heart of Dubrovnik, a relaxed coastal destination steeped in history.

The large St. John Fortress on the South East side of the city Entrance
2 - St John Fort, the Maritime Museum and Aquarium
Combine your trip to the Walls of Dubrovnik with a visit to the St John Fort. It contains Dubrovniks Maritime Museum and the Dubrovnik Aquarium.
St Johns Fort dates back to the 13th Century and has grown extensively over the centuries. It traditionally formed part of the seaward defense of the city of Dubrovnik, a bulwark against pirates and invaders.

Where to stay during your Dubrovnik Holidays
There are many beautiful hotels in Dubrovnik near old town where you can enjoy spectacular views of Adriatic Sea while enjoying the sun or a spa treatment. One of my Favourites is Hotel Grand Villa Argentina. Overlooking the Adriatic Sea and ancient Old Town walls, the Grand Villa Argentinas stunning location, its nonchalant elegance and Mediterranean charm make it one of the most beautiful hotels in the world.
