New Trends In Meeting Rooms London: Dedicated Non-residential Spaces
There are two basic types of dedicated meeting rooms in London – residential spaces, which are intended to provide accommodation and meeting space for companies requiring more than one day’s worth of meeting; and non-residential spaces, which provide the same services without the option to stay over.
Within each category, there are two further demarcations. Both residential and non-residential meeting rooms London have the option either of being dedicated or non-dedicated – that is, either of being within a location that has other purposes, or of being in a location where the prime and only purpose is to facilitate meetings.
Clearly, it is more common to find a dedicated non-residential meeting room than it is to find a dedicated residential meeting place: residential meeting establishments tend to be in hotels, or within larger structures such as colleges where the rooms are there for purposes other than only putting up the delegates at a conference or a meeting event.
The basic demands of the meeting holder, and his or her delegates, do not change between residential and non-residential spaces beyond ...
... the obvious caveat that a company holding (for sentence) a training week may need somewhere to put its delegates up, while a company holding an event over a single day will not.
The multi-day conference or meeting may still be held in a non-residential space, simply by finding accommodation for delegates nearby. In some situations, for example on training courses provided for a specific qualification, it may be the case that accommodation is sourced by the owner of the meeting or training event, and the price for it is factored into the cost of attending the seminar. In other cases, often in executive elective training, whereby individuals and companies put themselves forward for places on multi day courses, it may be the case that the delegates or their companies are required to find and pay for their accommodation themselves.
Meeting venues may provide a range of elective services for their day clients, including different catering types and different types of technical backup. Catering types are normally arranged according to the price and expected “feel” of a meeting – for example, an executive or Board level meeting is likely to require more substantial or impressive refreshments than a hasty convocation of start-up entrepreneurs.
The technical backup considerations applied to different meeting types are defined by the meetings themselves. A large conference or seminar style meeting, for instance, is likely to require full size projection units and may need the assistance of a full time backup staff to operate and maintain an audio visual display. A much smaller meeting may not have the same audio visual requirements, but may need reliable internet connection for attendees’ laptops.
The services provided by individual meeting rooms London are partly defined by industry averages, of the sort just described – and may also be defined by the individual personality of the venue. This is more likely, though, in non-dedicated venues – theatres, for example, which can use their stages or practice rooms to create alternative spaces.
