The growing popularity of kratom has reached a global number of audience and many people already found the benefits and healing power of the plant. It has been proven to be useful against headaches, body pain and even addiction; not only to drugs but also to smoke and alcohol addiction. Another popular use of kratom is by enhancing mood and improving a person’s ability to concentrate and do tedious tasks without easily getting tired. That’s why kratom becomes a very popular herbal alternative today. But, just like any other drugs, too much use of kratom can lead to addiction and if ever the day comes that you decided to stop kratom use, you must face withdrawal. Do you need to fear? Fear not my friend, I’ll explain you why.

Kratom Withdrawal

If you begin to stop kratom use, you may feel uneasiness and some terrible feelings. The most common effects of kratom withdrawal are anxiety, insomnia, apathy, lethargy, restless leg syndrome, intense sweating and cold-like symptoms. Psychological effects includes sadness, loneliness, desolation, depression and the like. As destructive as it seems, you must never fear! ...
... Why?

How to Cope From Kratom Withdrawal?

There are several ways to cope up from your kratom addiction and withdrawal. It can be very inconvenient for other people while for some, it is like as if nothing happened. If you are on the worst side of withdrawal, I would suggest you to take a deep break or vacation from anything you are responsible with. In short, leave a message that says “I will be in vacation and unreachable for a month”. Yes, one whole month is needed to get fully recovered from kratom withdrawals, though in most cases, 2 weeks is enough. But a good one month of laying low is perfect for virtually anyone. Why do I advise it? Because like what you’ve learned earlier, kratom withdrawal involves lethargy and apathy which means that you’ll never have any strength or motivation to do something.

Make sure you have a close relative or friend, a loved one to accompany you during the first week so you can ease yourself from the feeling of being discouraged or depressed. It is advisable that this person understands that you are undergoing kratom withdrawal and that he/she knows what process you would undergo while under the experience.

Is there a way to stop/prevent this?

No and yes. No in a sense that long term kratom use will eventually lead to some form of tolerance/addiction. Yes in a sense that gaining control over your kratom use will lessen the risk/intensity of your withdrawal. All I can advise is that use kratom moderately and if you plan to stop from long term kratom use, start by lowering intake little by little in a weekly basis.
