Bhai Sahib Satpal Singh Khalsa Is Determined To Settle Rochester Gurdwara Dispute
Bhai Sahib Satpal Singh Khalsa is a well known and respected Sikh leader who has been working for the cause of Sikhs and Sikhism for the last many years. His main focus has been to protect the rights of the Sikhs in the western hemisphere and to spread the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev in the entire world. With this aim in mind he founded the Guru Ram Das Sikh Mission of USA which is located in the state of New Mexico. He currently acts as the Chairman of this organization and along with that he has taken up many other important responsibilities as well. His other roles and responsibilities include being the Directtor of the Miri Piri Academy, Amritsar and acting as the Secretary of International Affairs for the Akal Takht for Sikh Dharma.
As a part of his above mentioned responsibility of being the Secretary of International Affairs, Akal Takht Bhai Sahib Satpal Singh Khalsa has recently been called in to solve the dispute involving the Gurdwara of Rochester. This is a big responsibility because this dispute has attracted attention from the Sikh community all around the world. Akal Takht has formed a committee for the ...
... specific purpose of solving this dispute and Bhai Sahib has been appointed as the coordinator of that committee. He is determined to solve this dispute as soon as possible and everyone who knows him is confident that he will be able to fix everything in a very quick time.
While fighting for the cause of Sikhs, Bhai Sahib Satpal Singh Khalsa has achieved a lot of success until now and thus people are confident that he will be successful this time as well. He has clearly expressed his stand on the issue by condemning the trustees of the Gurdwara of Rochester for taking legal measures to ban Kirpans in the Gurdwara premises. He has especially criticized the role of Santokh Singh Badesha, who is the head trustee of the Rochester Gurdwara. Bhai Sahib wrote a letter to Jathedar Gurbachan Singh and stated that the actions and the statements of Santokh Singh Badesha are blasphemous. As a result, Akal Takht has responded very strongly and Santokh Singh Badesha has been summoned. Akal Takht demands that he should personally come and provide clarification and justification for his actions. If he fails to do so, he should get ready to face the consequences, as strict and harsh action will be taken against him.
