Caller Id Software Tapirex Enhances Productivity

The caller id software TapiRex just got better: its new version 1.9 brings enhanced functionality and fixes some technical issues from previous versions. With TapiRex, a notification will be shown on the desktop or on TV (using Microsoft Windows Media Center) when a phone call comes in. The software also looks up additional caller information in Outlook or Skype contacts and can also look up additional information about the caller in reverse lookup websites like superpages.com.





Setup of TapiRex is pretty easy: it comes with a handy Windows setup including a comfortable wizard. It goes through the few installation steps with the user so that phone call information for incoming calls are shown after the installation. The Client/Server mode allows installation in a local network. Only one pc has to be physically connected to the phone line and all other pcs in the local network show caller id notifications including additional information as well.

One of the best things about TapiRex is that it's extendable with add-ons. A free SDK enables every software developer to add more functionalities to TapiRex. There is already a bunch of add-ons available on the add-ons download page that have been developed by Scavix Software and other developers.
