Honda Civic Is A Pleasurable Experience

Now in its ninth generation the Honda Civic has proven to be a success. Over 650,000 Civics have been sold, since it was launched in 1973. This alone shows you how successful the car is and how much the market loves it. Two of its main competitors are the Ford Focus and the VW Golf. All three of these cars are great performers however the competition is ever going and it seems each has a lot to learn from each other. The new look in the latest generation is probably the best yet and has really gone down well, with the edges more rounded of it has filled the gaps that its predecessor failed to. There are three engines available in this version. Two of them are petrol and one is diesel.

There are also a great four trim levels to choose from all of which are excellent and very pleasant. There is the SE, EX, ES and the flagship EX GT. The cars that run manually have a stop start system working to shut down the engine in traffic. Not only does this work out better for the cost to the buyer but it also helps reduce emissions and improve overall fuel economy. Unfortunately there ...
... is only a five door model available however with the variety of engines and trim levels we can hardly complain. In that range there must be something to suit everyone. When we look at the design it is quite clear that Honda has chosen an evolutionary look for this model. The aerodynamics has been improved and the exterior is smoother and has a sleeker look.

The wheel arches are curvy and the front of the model is longer while the rear comes with overhangs. The Civic is a comfortable motorway cruiser, plus it has lots of grip in bends. The Civic is not inspiring at all because the steering is overly light and vague. It is not a comfortable car as the ride is unsettled. The diesels feel much livelier than the petrol models. The Civic gives some road noise over all surfaces. The dashboard is soft to touch and is thick too. Honda's reliability record is a big reason for anyone buying this vehicle. All Civics come equipped with stability control, six airbags and active anti-whiplash front head restraints. It has a full five star Euro NCAP crash test rating.

The Honda Civic gives a very pleasure able experience as the drive is comfortable and involving. The drive is extremely enjoyable and fun and the comfort has been maximized in this Honda Civic. The fluid filled rear suspension bushes work to be as good as passing over bumps as the VW Golf and the car has succeeded in this factor. The motorway ride will be quiet and calm with hardly any noise coming through and the engine choices are the 1.4 and 1.8 litre petrol. The 1.4 engine offering 99bhp and the latter producing 140bhp. Both of these choices are powerful and strong but the best has to be the 2.2 litre diesel offering 148bhp. The engine is smooth and matches the car well making the whole drive a very pleasurable experience.
