If you want go-anywhere ability, enormous amounts of space and a luxurious cabin then the Land Cruiser should be you’re top choice. It's not as sophisticated or as comfortable as a Land Rover Discovery but it is a lot cheaper. The Cruiser is a big car with a high-riding posture and fat looks. It's questionably not as graceful as the design of some rivals, but high ground clearance at the front and rear are perfect for off-roading. Luxury is the order of the day inside Toyota's big off-roader. The smooth unit does a good job of carrying around the large weight but it never feels particularly swift. Acceleration from 0-62mph takes 11 seconds. Through bends, it feels like a tall, heavy car. Go for the range-topper and you'll get heated seats, TV screens in the rear and parking sensors. Big cars come with big running costs and the Land Cruiser is no exception. The diesel engine manages 34.8mpg combined while CO2 emissions are 213g/km. That means hefty road tax bills. On the plus side however, Toyota does offer a fixed-price servicing plan. This beast by Toyota is the ideal car for tough terrains, and is cheaper than its rivals, too.

It has a refined cabin and strong reliability record. The latest version is luxurious than its predecessor but like the previous model it has at it takes to drive on the toughest roads in the world. Its closest competitor is Range Rover. There is a new engine to, a massive 4.5 litre twin-turbodiesel. The demand for cars able to go to wilderness and deliver with its tough styling. Don’t take the Land Cruiser lightly as it is tough, reliable and practical. The biggest thing is it’s big. The Toyota looks tough as well as handles well. It has taken the Amazon’s seven-seat layout. The Land Cruiser goes from 0-62mph in 8.6 seconds and for a vehicle of this size it is striking as it weighs three tones.
