Brief Information On The Bad Services Of Dyanbuild
The inclusion of some strict safety measures could have prevented the death of a worker at the building site of the infamous construction company Apex Building Services. The builders failed to prevent accidents at the construction site. They have been repeatedly negligent of safety measures, despite repeated warnings from Workplace Safety Inspectors. The builders were charged with 3 offences, and the director Rocco Natoli was subsequently fined an amount of $ 24,000 by the Industrial Court at NSW. Recently, the construction company Formcom was also fined $123,500 for equal participation in these three safety incidents.
In 2007, Apex builders went into liquidity and nearly $2.5 million debt was reported in a document submitted by Australian Securities and Investment Commission. Further, Apex creditors had to confront an Apex appointed administrator, to recover $2.4 million from the company that was behind the Wollongong apartment project. Consequently, Wollongong builders were also fined with $24,000 for not abiding with safety measures. However, the defendant has continually denied of being guilty and further established ...
... a new company known as Dyanbuild Ptv Ltd. The website of this new company boasts that it holds sterling safety record.
Three main reasons that made Dynabuild to get convicted
Due to the below three incidents the building company Dynabuild was convicted for not following safety measures.
Incident 1
Steve Saad, a building worker who was employed by Formcom got seriously injured. He fell some 7.3 meters long from the partially built formwork deck onto the concrete floor. While doing his work, the victim was not having the fall protection systems. Due to that reason, he was serious injured with extensive skull fracture, extradural, multiple contusions and haemorrhage.
Incident 2
Though the incident didn’t involve any actual injury, the company was subjected to separate charges. The victim Joseph Karam was seen in a risky position of getting serious injuries while constructing formwork of a new deck. Supervisor was present at the place, but still he didn’t prevent the building worker from working on it without using any fall protection system.
Incident 3
This incident also didn’t involve any actual injury, but different charges were made on the company. Ryan Stewart, a construction worker was working on formwork column and there was no fall protection system, work platform was not having scaffolding or any guard rails on its edge, catch platform and ladder were also unavailable. The inspector and defendant both were present at the time of incident but still the victim was placed in a risky position.
These incidents emphasize the risks of working at heights, and at the same time conveys message that it is important to implement safety measures prescribed by Law, for protecting the life of the workers in construction industry.
