The process of commercially promoting a brand, service or business in order to increase its sales is known as advertising. There are many ways of advertising a brand or service such as television, newspapers & journals, outdoor displays, radio, internet, word of mouth etc. Television Advertising, Radio Advertising, Print Advertising and Outdoor Advertising are conventional means of promotion used by advertisers for all these years. An advertising campaign of a brand is launched to inform buyers about the availability of a certain product or service. The ultimate aim of every advertising campaign is to encourage buyers to adopt the product or service. A persuading message is an asset for every brand advertising campaign. Besides, the medium of communication should also be strong and easily reachable to customers.

Television Advertising, Radio Advertising, Outdoor Advertising or Internet Advertising campaigns are also implemented to educate and motivate the public on various non-commercial social, health or political issues such as AIDS, deforestation, family planning, corruption etc. With the onset of internet revolution, many social awareness advertising campaigns have also been launched on the web world. Internet media is a fast growing means of brand communication. Many brand owners rely on internet media to promote their brands among target customers.
