Beginning A New Exercise Routine

I let out a sigh as I longingly watched my good friend cross the finish line. Although I was excited for her success, I couldn't help but be a little envious. I had wanted to be a runner for ages but never quite known how to start. Inspired by her achievement, I silently vowed to be coming across the finish line next year with her.
As I got home, I took a good long look at my reflection in the mirror. I knew I had it in me to become a runner. No more excusesit was time to start. I dialed the number to my physician's office and set up an appointment for the next day. I knew that becoming a runner wasn't something that was going to happen overnight. I needed months of training starting with some instruction from my personal doctor. I considered myself lucky to have found my doctor on the provider list at www.healthplanone.com. He was an incredible physician and I knew he would take particular good care of me.
The next day my doctor ran several tests including blood pressure, cholesterol, etc. Excitedly, I received the "Go Ahead" to begin running. My doctor told me ...
... to take my new routine slow and listen carefully to my body for any problems or stress.
I had heard that receiving your initial training by a professional was crucial. I could think of no better person for the job than my good friend. We began running together every day as she shared with me helpful do's and don'ts of the running world.
Slowly, my passion for running changed my lifestyle. I found myself wanting foods that gave me energy and sustained my hunger at the same time. I indulged in fruits and vegetables and felt better than I had in years. Water became my beverage of choice again and fueled me for my runs every day.
I learned that having a goal in mind when starting a new exercise routine is very helpful. I found a 5k offered in my area in 2 months and signed up immediately. I was now obligated to go and had already paid my entrance fee. There was no backing out! As the date of the race grew closer, I became more excited to get out there and show myself what I could do. Taking the proper steps in the proper order had given me my wish of being a runner. I found something I loved and made it a part of my life which I would carry with me until the very end.
Here Author writes about his ambition to be a runner and his steps to achieve it. Health is an integral part for this and he also mentions of www.healthplanone.com (a Health Insurance website offering affordable health insurance plans) from where he got a doctor's reference who gave him a "Go Ahead" for his career after proper tests and examinations.
