While surfing the web the other day on a search to find a reasonably priced pair of tinted reading glasses (if there is such a thing) I came across an unrelated link to a site called "Pinhole Glasses". My first response was to move on to another page, but my curiosity got the better of me and I opened the site to learn more.

Pinhole glasses are not a new fad or gimmick and the idea has been around for a long time. This type of seeing aid is a simple technology whereby the glasses lens have strategically positioned holes to permit the absorption of light from various angles. Simply put, the lenses of pinhole glasses work as a surrogate cornea that in effect is an assistant to your own cornea. Those of us with astigmatism, myopia and other issues can be rectified with the use of pinhole glass technology.

I love to read. Reading is one of my great passions; nothing feels better than leafing through the pages of a good book. Especially relaxing heading outside and onto my lounger in the backyard to bask in the warmth of the sun while reading. One drawback hinders that endeavor, I wear over-the-counter reading glasses, when the sun is bright I will put a pair of sunglasses over top of the reading glasses in order to enjoy my book.
