Knowing your personal strengths and weaknesses can help you in deciding whether your work profile matches your strengths. It’s also important not to confuse personal strengths with what you like. What you like to do is not necessarily what you do best. If your strengths are much better than your profile, then perhaps, there could be another position in the same organization, which would be better suited for you. Once you are clear in your head what strength works in your favor, you can make conscious effort to focus your energy on it.

On the other hand if your weaknesses are not suited for the profile you are handling, perhaps that’s the gap you need to fill to achieve persoonlijke groei. Within minutes you will know exactly where you can do better and where there is a scope for improvement. Your weakness is nothing to be ashamed about. In fact you need to look at them as an opportunity to grow and improve.

Once you have clearly understood yourself, you can take the help of your human resources department to chalk out your professional chart for the next few years. You can also take up training to develop yourself and keep yourself motivated.
