Java appeared in the middle of 90’s. Today, Oracle owns and develops this technology, but it was originally developed by Sun Microsystems. Oracle bought Sun and all its Java technologies in January 2010.

Since Java has come in fashion, it has been offering new dimensions in desktop and web application development fields. It took the web to the next level of interactivity. This technology is available in its three variants, including J2EE (stands for Java Platform, Enterprise Edition, J2ME (stands for Java Platform, Micro Edition), and J2SE (stands for Java Platform, Standard Edition).

So, Java is big enough to fight a credible battle against most similar web and desktop level programming technologies. But why some people are still skeptical
about it? Maybe, they fear of following myths:

Java is limited to web browser only.

Although Java played a big role in bringing the web at today’s level, it is not limited to it. It supports desktop application development too. All you need is JVM (Java Virtual Machine) to run a Java application on desktop and server computers. You can use J2SE to ...
... build desktop application. For this purpose, developers will need Java Development Kit (JDK).

Java is slow technology for serious programming.

It is not fully true that it is a slow technology for serious programming. Yes, it responds little slow as JVM requires a while to load, but it all depends on .Net runtime or other libraries being used by the application. Oracle has partly solved this problem with updates. Latest version is faster than earlier ones. It responds more quickly on Linux than Windows.

Applets are not reliable for high level programming.

Different browsers may use different Applets and thus there are differences in performance as well. If developers use single JVM, the performance related problem can also be solved out. Using single JVM is a better choice to have optimum results. If developers use single JVM, users can always expect better performance.
Each edition of Java is used for a specific purpose. For example, J2EE platform is used to build and run enterprise software, web and network based services, and other multi-tiered, reliable and secure applications. It is a securest platform for developing, building and implementing web-based enterprise applications.

J2ME platform is used to develop applications for mobile devices and other small systems like set-top boxes, medical devices, ATM machines, lottery terminals, car navigation systems, etc. J2SE is another popular version of Java, and it is used in the development and deployment of portable desktop and server based applications.
Developers fear of these myths but this article has totally busted them. This useful information is brought to you by experts in desktop, web and mobile application development.

Mia Klaus in her article has explained importance of expert java application development who are providing java software development for every kind of businesses. java web development has come as saviour for businesses to lure their customers.
