Invisalign is an alternative option for bulky braces. It may look like as a piece of plastic, but is a form of orthodontic treatment that uses clear and removable teeth aligners. As of now, millions of people are using the treatment and only few cosmetic dentists are trained to offer the treatment. That is the reason why it is vital to seek for the right cosmetic dentist for you to save money and time from useless or ineffective available methods. But, before everything else, here are the pros and cons of Invisalign:

Pros:

Removable- compared to the traditional braces, Invisalign is removable. You can remove it when you are going to eat. Also, you have to floss and brush it before you put it back. This is why many said that it’s easy to maintain oral hygiene if you this rather than the traditional braces. There are even reports that their oral hygiene has improved after using these clear plastic aligners.

Undetectable- one of the main pros of Invisalign is that it’s undetectable. Majority of people won’t know you are in the process of orthodontic treatment. If you don’t like to use it in ...
... some events, you can remove it, but even if you will wore it, no one will notice that you are wearing these aligners.

Comfortable- since they don’t have brackets or wires, they won’t cause any discomfort. Instead, you will feel more comfortable when using it because Invisalign is smooth.

FDA Approved- if you have issues about metal allergies, Invisalign is a perfect product for you as it is made from FDA approved materials. This only means that you don’t need to worry about allergies or anything that you have experienced from using braces.

Cons:

Quite Expensive- Insvisalign is quite costly compared to other solution. Its cost may be lower or higher than traditional braces depending on the amount of treatments needed. Unlike to the traditional orthodontics, Invisalign is competitive and may cost you a bit.

It Can Affect Your Speech- some users of Invisalign said that it may cause minor speech problems, but once you are used to it, you won’t experience any issues about it.

It is removed when eating- unlike braces, it must be removed whenever you will eat. Even though it is inconvenient for some, others find it as a pro because it helps them to improve their oral hygiene.

With the given pros and cons of Invisalign, it is a good option for everyone. Nevertheless, you have to determine first your dental needs before you should consider it because this treatment might not be the one you’re looking for. If you want to consider this treatment, find a cosmetic dentist that is offering it for several years. This professional might help you choose which treatment is ideal for you dental health condition.
