Goa is one of the most incredible holiday destinations in the world. It is an Indian seaside destination which has more to it than just the beaches. While its over-40 beaches do snatch the highest spotlight, one cannot brush aside the scrumptious seafood and other cuisines which the state dishes before all its hungry tourists.

Here is a quick food guide for restaurants in South Goa:
i. Martin’s Corner: Martin’s Corner is one of the most popular places to eat in South Goa. It is included in most Goa tour packages since this eatery has won a fair number of awards and certificates. It serves a number of cuisines from the local to the Chinese and the Continental. Its sea food is something which has even made Sachin Tendulkar lick his fingers. Yes, yes yes, this restaurant is the great man’s favorite haunt in Goa! And we all know Tendulkar’s high taste for seafood! By the way, you can even take a bite of Tendulkar at this place since they have named a dish after him! Now, howzzat!

ii. Fisherman’s Wharf: Situated ...
... in Cavelossim’s Mobor Beach, this eatery is another delicious place to plunge into your favorite food. Once again, the shrimps, prawns and fishes are just finger-licking stuff! And even if seafood is not your forte, you can find every other kind of thing that you are used to eating. The food out here deserves a standing (rather, burping) ovation. And the ambience and staffs too would give you a lovely time.

iii. Joecons garden restaurant: While it does offer delectable food, its big USP is its lovely settings. This is a garden restaurant of the open-air genre! So, you can eat with the sky as the roof and the clouds as the fan!

A few other restaurants you can visit under Goa tour packages are Raj’s Pentagon and Zeebop. However, it must be said that each and every restaurant is better than the other. It is hard to rank them, since different people have different dining tastes and prefer varying kinds of ambience.

Best time to visit Goa: Goa’s lovely weather makes it a round-the-year destination. But the best time to visit Goa is definitely the season between September and February. The festive months of December-January receive maximum traffic and so prices shot up skywards. For a budget-friendly holiday, the best time to visit Goa would be between April and August.
