Given that the world economy now works entirely on the premise of oil prices, oil spill prevention is something that absolutely needs to be considered. Oil spill prevention is something of a wide and robust term, so in order to get a little more in-depth with this issue it may take a little bit of discussion. Oil spill prevention first of all is done through employee diligence, they are the first line when it comes to oil spill prevention, so in the case of many plants or facilities that deal with drilling oil, transporting oil, and refining oil employees must be heavily trained in oil spill prevention. From the very start you are taught to be highly aware of the responsibilities of your job, if you are responsible for staff or equipment you must be held accountable for human error, and therefore oil spill prevention is put into your hands. Beyond this your manager must also be able to be held accountable for any issues when it comes to oil spill prevention, this is in the sense that while they have a broad range of jobs to do and a lot of staff to handle, it is their responsibility to make sure you’re doing your job right ...
... and doing it safely, and so oil spill prevention is in their hands also.
Oil spill prevention also comes down to a technical level. Technology dealing with oil often has a number of fail-safe facilities built in should there be any issues with flow, pressure, or anything else that may occur. Oil spill prevention is built on several layers of technology, starting with computer management and handling systems, to more mechanical solutions to manually stem the flow or contain any oil spills, and then finally the last line of defences in oil spill prevention. Oil spill prevention is an issue that is far more complex than I am making it out to be here, but if you do your research elsewhere you should have an even better idea of how oil spill prevention works and what it means on a technological and environmental level.
