Sebastian Vettel showed he’s not done with winning just because he’s the reigning World Champ for the third time in a row! Defying team orders to ‘hold tight’ behind Red Bull teammate Mark Webber, he passed him and took the checkered flag, much to the chagrin of the malleable Aussie, who had to settle for third place behind Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton. With Nico Rosberg hot on Hamilton’s heels and also begging to be allowed to pass – denied by team bosses and accepted by the non-too-pleased Rosberg – the Malaysian Grand Prix proved it’s anyone’s season and there’s no love lost between many of these adrenaline-fueled, performance-driven sportsmen!

No real surprise given the intensity, speed and singular focus required of F1 drivers these days who must not only perform on the track but also be the perfect spokesmen and ambassadors for the many brands that pay top dollar to be associated with the teams and their drivers, each square inch of helmet, race suit, glove and car carefully analyzed for return on investment possibilities with regards to visibility to over 500 million viewers worldwide.
