If we talk about amaranth (name of lord Krishna) .its cave is located in Kashmir an altitude of 14,000 ft and 130 Kms from Srinagar city. There are main two routes to connect to holy cave one is Pahalgam and another Sonamarg .Most of devotes start their yatra from chandan wari by walk and while some others likeamarnath yatra 2013by Helicopter .The devotees who used to go to amarnath by walk enjoy some beautiful views on the way .Cave is 46 Kms from the base camp of pahalgam and can be covered 3-4 days by a layman.
