On January 20, 2009, when Barrack Hussain Obama took oath as the 44th President of United States of America (USA), billions of people from all corners of the country gathered in front of the White House to witness history. They welcomed the first black President of the country with smiling faces but yet the atmosphere was gloomy. It was a tough time for the countrymen and they are still going through a dark phase. The country, which has virtually dominated the world for so many years as the leader has been struggling very hard for the last one year with a devil that has made major damage in its economy. People have been loosing jobs in thousands and companies and financial institutions have turned bankrupt. The economic condition of the country has been the worst in the last 26 years and financial analysts have predicted worse situations in the next one and half years if drastic steps are not taken immediately.

People of USA have lead Mr Barrack Obama to a landslide victory with high hopes that his strategies and policies will bring smile back on their faces. ...
... But will the first black President be able to take up the challenge that he has been thrown. Will his policies and strategies help United States of America to overcome the evil named recession? Will his policies strengthen the economy of the country, will he be able to eradicate the fear of job loss and create new jobs for young and enthusiastic countrymen? Well, time will say that but the positive side is that, he has taken up the challenge with a smile in his face and signs of determination in his eyes and has taken a very strong approach towards the hurdles that he must cross to bring back his country's economy on the stable ground.

From the very beginning of his reign as the US President, Mr Obama has emphasized on investment in various sectors for creation of new jobs. Obama's administration has decided to invest in the manufacturing sector, which will lead to creation of five million new jobs. Mr Obama has also announced his plans to create an advanced manufacturing fund, which will be used in most advanced manufacturing strategies. Based on the Michigan 21st century jobs fund, this new advanced manufacturing fund will have a peer-review selection and award process, which will award lots of new businesses and innovative proposals to crate new jobs and products. Double funding system for the manufacturing extension partnership (MEP) is also an important part of the US President's policy to strengthen the economy of USA. The manufacturing extension partnership will help manufacturers all over the country to implement new and advanced technologies, improve efficiency of workers and strengthening growth of the companies. The reason why the Obama administration has stressed on this MEP is its immense success in the year 2006. 50,000 new jobs were created in more than 3,50,000 new projects all over the country in that year. To get even better result, Team Obama-Biden has decided to double funding the MEP so that US manufacturers can enhance their competitiveness from the training centers. Creation of new jobs is the need of the hours for the people of USA and its can be said without and doubt that proper implementation of this MEP will be highly beneficial for them.
