Irctc Seat Availability-assures Accommodation In Trains

Trains in India are most of the times full of passengers as they are fast and at the same time offer an affordable mode of conveyance. During the vacation times and festival seasons, getting a seat in the Indian Railways is almost impossible. Indian Railways through IRCTC helps you check the IRCTC seat availability and then book your tickets.
IRCTC stands for Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation and deals with catering, online booking and tourism. They are the pioneers in introducing online booking in India. The website of IRCTC offers you all information on trains like the train availability, route, train time table, trains between stations, seat availability, prices of tickets, and much more.
To check the seat availability, all you need is to type the name or code number of the train and the date of the journey. You will get a list of seats available in each class along with the prices of tickets. After you check the seat availability and select the class of travel, make the payment through credit or debit card and get your e-ticket. The e-ticket will be sent to your email address and ...
... you have to take a print out of the e-ticket and carry it with you when you board the train. There is also the option of choosing an I-ticket, which is a normal ticket that will be sent to you by post. You will get the I-ticket within one or two days.
Tickets are available for different classes of travel like the First Class, AC Class, Chair Cars, Executive Class and Second Class. The prices of tickets vary according to the classes and the comforts offered. The seats in higher classes are more wide and comfortable. Air-Conditioned classes are expensive, but they are in great demand during the hot seasons of April and May. The Second Class fares are very cheap and majority of people travel in this class.
When you book tickets, you can opt for your preferred seats like the side seat, lower berth, window seat, etc. They will be allotted to you depending on their availability. Senior citizens and physically disabled people are always allotted the lower berths for their comfort.
A certain number of seats on trains are reserved for booking under the Tatkal scheme. Booking under this scheme starts at 10 in the morning on the day before the day of departure of the train, and it can be done till the final charts are prepared. This is of great use when an emergency appears and you have to travel at a short notice. But reservation under this scheme requires additional charges.
The IRCTC seat availability helps you make your ticket reservation wisely and ensures that you enjoy your journey without any tension.
You can check your railway seat availability from the comfort of your home, just at the click of a mouse. Travelling with family during holiday season? You can now check IRCTC seat availability online and book well in advance to be assured of confirmed bookings!
