Most of the sponsors of the bills were also the sponsors of the previous bills but it also died in the committee. Another attempt was made on the following year, on September 29, 2010, but just like the earlier bills, this one also died. Finally, on April 28, 2011, the bill that will put salvia divinorum and salvinorin-a into schedule one of controlled substances was filed. The bill succeeded to be passed as a law and became effective last August 22, 2011. Thus, that is the end for the legality of salvia divinorum in Pennsylvania.

Today, distribution, buying, selling, possessing, using and obtaining salvia divinorum by any means and any form is prohibited by law in Pennsylvania.
