Actually it is very capable with a feeling of safety and being in control. However if you’re looking for something fun and exciting then this may not be the perfect vehicle for you. With a comfortable four wheel drive it works well in giving power wherever is needed and make the overall performance much more stable and in composed. The ride however is firm around town but when you put your foot down it softens. The RAV4 is also sophisticated at higher speeds, with engine, wind and road noise kept away from the cabin. The handling is not up to compact SUVs standard as it feels dull and understeers as well. In Sport mode the power is shifted to the back wheels but it doesn’t make a big difference.
