A trip to the famous state of India that is Rajasthan is incomplete without Pushkar tour. The very famous Pushkar fair takes place once in a year and it goes for five days continuously. This fair is time for soothing for the villagers and the habitants of the city. This colorful fair is considered blessed by the villagers around that are dressed in so diverse colors. It is a colorful sight which is very peaceful and comforting sight for the eyes that observe all arid deserts all around.

Pushkar is located between deserts at a distance of 11 km from Ajmer in Rajasthan state, which is most significant religious place of Hindus. This city is surrounded by hills from three sides and sandpaper sandbanks on the other which make it a beautiful and charming city. The primary attraction of this place is yearly Pushkar Camel Fair which holds every year on the day of Karthik Purnima in October or November.

... even a cricket match between the local Pushkar cricket team and tourists. The competition in the Pushkar fair can also be like a bridle competition and even a rooster fight as well. One can mesmerize self with the lovely music played by the local musicians and musicians which come from through-out the state. There is another competition happens regularly which is for the biggest mustache.

Considered very sacred and holy by the villagers around, the fair is a relaxing time for the villagers in and around the city. A very colorful fair, with men and women dressed in so many colors. Such a colorful sight is a relaxing and soothing sight for the eyes that see all arid deserts all around. The large well touched turbans of the males visiting the place, who set their animals for trade or to set up other trade forms, such as shops selling goods, the women dressed up in well decked up Ghaghara's ( skirts which just touch the ankle), arms full of bangles, well jeweled from head to toe in different kinds of jewelry. It is an occasion which gives the Hindu pilgrims a chance to wash away their sins and wrong doings by going for a holy dip in the sacred Pushkar Lake. Pushkar happens to be one of the five dhams held with high esteem of pilgrimage spots.

Here, tourist can enjoy every moment of their trip by seeing Camel trading, folk performances, camel races, body tattooing, puppet shows, ethnic shopping, acrobatics, moustache competition, best breed contest, bridal competition etc. these are planned to enliven the event. Visitor the Bards and poets while tales of valor and heroism of the bygone days. Besides this, there are a number of cows, sheep, camels, goats and their dealers wait in the tents on the golden sands alongside the lake. There are some small shops that are very famous for the woolen blankets of merta, brassware of Jodhpur, textiles printed in Ajmer and Jodhpur, Jaipur etc. by opting for Pushkar fair tour, tourist can get a great experience of their trip and make it more and more memorable and enjoyable.

Pushkar is the only place in India with a temple dedicated to Lord Brahma. The mythology says that the Pushkar Lake was formed when the Lotus flower fell from the lord Brahma's hands and found its way to this small town on Earth. Brahma later chose the site as the sacred land to perform his yagna. It is believed that a holy dip in Pushkar Lake and a visit to Lord Brahma's Temple is a must for everyone and is also believed to cure all ailments as well.

The Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation has taken sufficient measures to facilitate convenient access of the fair site and accommodation.
