How To Select From Among The Top Mba Colleges In Delhi?
MBA in India has become such a rage that every graduate is giving CAT, XAT, CMAT, SNAP and other such competitive exams. The value of this degree has led to the emergence of so many colleges that various colleges accept candidates even without considering these entrance exams. However, I’m sure you wouldn’t want to get into such a college that offers easy admissions but is always surrounded by controversies and doesn’t have a good scope of job placements! There are such colleges that offer MBA and BBA degrees even without a certification! But just to make sure that you settle for nothing but the best, here are a few quick tips to evaluate an MBA college:
• Ask the ex-students: There’s no one who can give you an insight into the college as deeply as the ex-students can. Since they’ve been there and done that, they exactly know how the college functions, how capable the faculty is and what are the kind of job opportunities available after passing out from the college. They can also provide you a tip or two regarding the professors and how to score more if you seek admission in their college.
• Extra-curricular ...
... activities: Extra-curricular activities are as important for the student as the curriculum. Without the presence of such activities, university life can be dull and boring. As they say, all work and no play make Jack a dull boy! Make sure that you’ve plenty of extra-curricular opportunities such as sports, arts, literature, cinema etc. to enjoy so that you see yourself developing overall.
Exchange programs: These days, Top MBA Colleges in Delhi design their curriculum not just on the basis of the Indian market but also keeping in mind the global work scenario. This provides an in-depth insight about various financial markets to the students. To further enhance their perspective, colleges offer student exchange programs wherein students are sent to a different nation for a semester or two in order to mingle with other natives and study the market of that particular region. Make sure the college offers possible opportunities for an exchange program.
Internships and placement: Doing an MBA is fruitful only if the college offers internships and a good chance of a placement after the completion of the degree. Internship is generally done after the completion of two semesters for a month or two. Some colleges even offer the prevision of doing a six-month internship along with the course. At times, the companies that offer internships hire the students after their course is completed. Make sure you check the college website properly to see a list of recent graduates and how many of them have been placed. Also check the percentage of students placed and their annual package.
