Federal grant money refers to the grant or aid that is provided by the U.S government to support social work for the public. The history of the federal grant money dates back to the era when the U.S Constitution was not even drafted. The first federal government grant money was awarded to purchase land. The federal grants are usually given to the local and state governments to help them in the social work. The third category grant is given to individuals, private organizations to support and fund a particular activity. There are direct payment grants with unrestricted use which are usually given to fund the federal employee pension system.
