You may be wondering how coloring books have worked their way into online arcades. It may not seem like a logical mix. I don't think anyone would ever claim that coloring is a game. You don't receive points for staying in the lines and you certainly won't ever win or lose. Coloring is just creativity in a pure form. Kids receive a basic image and they can use crayons or markers to create their own picture that matches their own idea. How exactly does this fit in with an online arcade? Well, I'll tell you.

Online arcades don't necessarily rely on games as their biggest draw. They try to offer a wide range of media to fulfill all of your entertainment needs. There are also many arcades that are specifically aimed towards boys and girls. Add these two sets together and you should realize that they'll offer coloring books and dress up games to their younger audiences. They just have to host a few pictures along with the photo applications to make them run. It fits perfectly with the arcade's mission.

The how for the whole process is very interesting (at least to me). They just updated the basic principles of a paint ...
... game and added the best aspects of a coloring book. It is all very simple. They use a small set of buttons somewhere on the page that let you choose your brush. You can have a wide brush, a thin brush, a pencil, or even a spray paint bottle. You then use a sliding color bar to pick your color out from the wide spectrum. The rest should be pretty self explanatory. You just hold down the mouse button and color the page. They can choose to be a little Picasso or just stick to the same old style of coloring inside the lines. The best part is that any mistake can be easily erased with just a few clicks. That little slip of the hand is no big deal in the online world.

There's even a little more help for those that have serious issues when it comes to staying in the lines. Most online coloring books offer you a way to use a bucket command to just fill in one little area on the page. This also means that your little girl will be able to whip up a little masterpiece in just a few minutes. They just have to pick out their favorite colors and effectively paint by numbers. This should save them a lot of time and energy by letting them quickly lay out their vision without a lot of preparation or frustration.

The only area left to cover is the selected background that you cover. These arcades also are able to offer an amazing variety. The can switch from Power Rangers to Powerpuff Girls in a matter of seconds. I defy you to find a coloring book that can make such a claim in the real world.

The Internet is really the perfect place to go for your child's coloring book needs. It is a free way for your child to express their creativity with the latest tools and best colors. They can even print out the finished page. It's just like a real coloring book, but without the limitations.
