In today's advanced technical environment, small and large companies need business IT support services. IT support services is not a luxury for any organization, it is a necessity.

Due to all of the applications available on the market today, many administrative tasks have been automated. Entering office appointments into a central database to using software applications for company budgets, virtually everything that is done in a business office today involves using computers and computer network systems. This new automated business environment has many benefits but is also has some disadvantages.

One of the main benefits of the new environment is it increases productivity and reduces the need for additional headcount. In the past, a small business owner needed three employees to perform different types of manual tasks. With the new advancements in technology today, many software applications can help with expediting these same job functions and they are often more accurate. Which means the small business owner can hire one employee for a specific job function or functions instead of three.

These system problems are common in all companies, both small and large. The affects of computer downtime can be minimal in many cases. However, if the systems are down for extended periods of time, the owner can lose money and customers.

To avoid these issues, the business owner must be proactive. This can be accomplished by hiring a managed IT services provider. The basic role of these services providers is to ensure their clients have the types of information technology support needed at all time. As a third party agency, they are responsible for hiring professionals with the right skills sets and technical expertise. These professionals must be able to handle common computer problems as well as network issues (i.e. network security, network installations, network connectivity issues etc.) Therefore, when a client contacts the service provider about a problem, their job is to assign the problem to a specific computer technician.
