The city of Udaipur is historically and culturally a very important city. This city of Rajasthan has many grand palaces, art galleries, gardens, temples and even seva ashrams. The city palace museum is there which has a Manak Mahal which is a palace with amazing glass and mirror work.While MorChowk has mosaics of peacocks, there is an amazing collection of miniatures in Krishna Villa. Bangor ki Haveli which is also a huge palace with 138 rooms is also worth a watch. Now this haveli is also used for cultural displays where they display the folk arts ad interesting art works. The SajjanGarh is also a beautiful palace built on mountain top just like a fairy tale castle. The city palace which is the largest palace of Rajasthan is also situated here. This grand palace was built by Maharaja Udai Singh II the founder of the city. Ahar Museum is also a must visit place. There are cenotaphs of maharaja of Mewar and many more interesting things. Due to such amazing places Udaipur forms an important part of Rajasthan tourism industry.
