Volkswagen Passat Estate with Its Capacious Boot

The Volkswagen Passat Estate has all the attributes for luxury and comfort that a saloon normally has, but what makes it special is its capacious boot. With its cosy drive, well built cabin and massive load area, the Volkswagen Passat estate makes itself an all-rounder. The BlueMotion diesel variant has a combined economy of 65.7 mpg; its engines range is also great. The interior is styled in an impressive way, it is stylish and has a out-class dashboard and an analogue clock which make it a fine place to spend some time. With larger alloy wheels, the chrome trim and higher specifications, the variants SE and Sport, look way better than the standard version. This car is based on the previous generation, and no problems have been reported for that car.

This is a proof of impressive reputation that the Volkswagen Passat Estate carries for its reliability. Many of the optional extra features like lane-keep assist, fatigue detection and automatic braking, ...
... this high tech Estate is one of the safest vehicles securing a five-star rating from Euro NCAP. The Passat Estate's boot is more spacious than that of an Audi A4 Avant or the Ford Mondeo. When the seats are in place, the capacity is 603 litres which increases enormously to a 1,731 litres when the seats are folded down by tugging a lever in the boot. The rear seats are generous enough to house lofty adult passengers and the build quality is so magnificent that it's really hard to find a fault. The S models come with electric windows in the front and rear, air conditioning and a USB AUX-in connection.

The higher specification models feature: hi-tech gadgetries such as Bluetooth, DAB radio and satellite navigation and leather seats. If you are looking for a good Volkswagen Passat diesel engine, then the 1.6-litre TDI with 104 bhp, acceleration from 0-62 mph in just 12.5 seconds, CO2 emissions 116 g/km and mixed economy of 53.5 mpg is the best suitable option and It returns 65 mpg in the BlueMotion trim. For those drivers who carry big loads regularly, should opt for a 2.0-litre TDI with 138 bhp, acceleration from 0-62 mph in just 10.0 seconds, CO2 emissions 120 g/km and combined economy of 51.1 mpg. Or a 2.0-litre TDI with 168 bhp, acceleration from 0-62 mph in just 8.8 seconds, CO2 emissions 123 g/km and combined economy of 50.0 mpg.

The Volkswagen Passat engines are also offered in petrol, three options are available: a 1.4-litre TSI with 120 bhp, acceleration from 0-62 mph in just 10.2 seconds, CO2 emissions 142 g/km and combined economy of 38.6 mpg. There's a 1.8-litre TSI with 158 bhp, acceleration from 0-62 mph in just 8.7 seconds, CO2 emissions 160 g/km and combined economy of 34.1 mpg and a 2.0-litre TSI with 207 bhp, acceleration from 0-62 mph in just 7.7 seconds, CO2 emissions 169 g/km and combined economy of 32.7 mpg. All of these engines run so smooth and quiet that the driving experience becomes very pleasant. The Passat Estate handles the corners pretty well with extended body control and the steering nicely weighted. The Volkswagen Passat Estate feels wonderful and is fun to drive. It is utilitarian as a pick-up truck and comfortable as a saloon and with its excellent economy, easy on the pocket to run.
