It’s a bit worrying when you notice damage to a car’s Windscreen, I needed a windscreen repair a short while ago and for a moment, I wasn’t quite sure what to do. The damage occurred to the glass when I was travelling down the motorway to visit relatives; basically an object hit the glass at speed and caused a small chip to appear on the glazing. At the time I didn’t think the Windscreen needed replacing, the damage seemed fairly innocuous so I presumed a Windscreen repair would suffice. When I arrived at my relatives I decided to act fast to get the windscreen repair completed as soon as possible, there was no way I was going to drive around in a car that had a fault with its Windscreen.
The first thing to do when you suspect you might need a repair is call a mobile glass replacement company to get them to assess the damage. That’s what I did, I called The Screensaver Windscreens and they sent a mobile technician out to my location to examine the damage on my Windscreen. As I suspected the glass could be fixed with a swift windscreen repair. There was no need to ...
... have the Windscreen replaced this would have been a waste of money. Instead the chip on the glazing was injected with a special type of resin that gave an invisible fix. Once the resin sets it becomes a permanent solution and the repaired area is just as strong as the rest of the screen.
I acted swiftly with a windscreen repair and I reckon that’s saved me a whole heap of trouble in the future. Had I not bothered getting my Windscreen fixed the damage could have spread and this could have led to a total Windscreen replacement a little later down the line. So my advice to anyone that had small surface damage to their Windscreen to get the problem looked at as soon as you can. Call a company that provides a mobile Windscreen repair service and your car’s glazing will look as good as new and keep you safe and sound when you travel about.
