The twin cities of Kullu and Manali make excellent holiday spots for tourists from not only India but from all over the world. It is an awe-inspiring holiday destination and there are no words to express the magnificence that Manali holds for its visitors. Touted as Switzerland of India, Manali is an evergreen tourism destination and finds favor with all honeymoon couples. On one side the hill station is like a soothing balm for the visitors from the scorching sun of summer owing to its cooling climate the other side of Manali provides nothing short than a heavenly experience with its snow-laden views during in the winters.

Manali holds special significance to the Indian culture and Hindu beliefs as it is believed to be the abode of the Saptarshis or theSeven Great Sages of Hindus. Do not miss the Rohtang pass, which is just 51 km from Manali and on the way to Keylong is the pass at an altitude of 3,978 meters. The tourists can visit the pass from June-October but trekkers can cross the pass earlier. The pass is a gateway to Lahaul-Spiti, Leh and Pangi.

Apart from the immaculate beauty of the landscape, Manali offers some great adventure sports for the tourists. You can enjoy a skiing experience on the snowy terrains during winter months. The water of the Beas River provides perfect water current for exciting sporting activities like kayaking and river rafting. Paragliding is another outdoor activity that is carried out in Solang Nullah area. Mountaineering, trekking, hiking and camping activities are carried out on the mountainous slopes and these activities included in Manali tour package make the package quite thrilling. The Western Himalayan Institute of Mountaineering offers training programs for amateurs through crash courses on the techniques involved in activities like rock climbing, snow craft, ice craft, ice climbing and river crossing. The journey to Manali takes around 12 to 15 hours by road from Delhi covering around 530 KM. You can either hire a taxi or avail the luxury bus service from all the major cities in North India. You can also drive up your personal vehicle to Manali. The way to Manali is naturally rich as the river Beas flows side by side to the road.
