The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) process can be broadly classified into two broad categories, the on-page and the off page. The on-page SEO consists of all the works that is done directly on to the web page. Link building is an off page SEO technique. This is an important aspect of the process, however, it is also a controversial one. It can be defined in the following way.

The marketer should understand the industry, its requirements and business. To have a clear understanding of what matters to the company also facilitates in deciphering the method by which the things are to be done. The strategy that is recommended to the customer should be in line with their business.

Most good SEO companies will search the relevant keywords that need focusing. These are then matched with the specific web pages that are related to the website. The marketers than proceed with the searching of the most pertinent no follow and do follow links by participating in the manner that increases the value of the business. This method takes into the account the brand, credibility and reputation of the business.
