A silent and peaceful capital of the Tavush region, located at the foot of the Ijevan ridge, 137 km north-east of Yerevan, Ijevan is an appropriate place for tourism in case you are just interested in a couple of days. It has been impregnated with the love of nature and heavenly tranquility. It is presently the most populated city in Armenia. With every single factor being just the right for a great vacation with your loved ones, this place should be on the tip lines of your ‘to go’ list for vacationing.

Hotel Mosh and Hotel Dok are other places where you can spend a couple of decent nights.

Apart from the hotels that offer stay and fooding both, there are a few food joints near the market area locally called the ‘Shuka’. The bigger hotels are obviously expensive places to eat in Ijevan. The one thing that is extremely famous here is the locally produced wine. So, in case you are a wine lover then you can have your barrels filled just when you are entering the city as it is where the wine factory is actually located.

The ‘things to do in Ijevan’ list is not very long, well, that is not definitely the motive of visiting this place! Ijevan has a huge market, flocked by local offerings and cheap imported items. So you could just stroll around having an eyeful of what all is ther, you might not have much to buy, except for the carpets that are made right in Ijevan itself!
