A solenoid pump is used in water treatment procedure and chemical processing plants. This device is considered to be as the simplest kind of pumping equipment as it comprises of lesser number of components. It consists of a solenoid which is a helix of wire tied around a steel core or an iron. When the electric current is passed through the coil, the core becomes a magnetic object due to the electromagnetic effect. Because of the magnetized core, the diaphragm slides into the discharge position and when the current is withdrawn, the diaphragm comes back to its original position.

Small solenoid pumps are based on the same principle, and they are categorized in three series namely mono, syrup and duplex. The pump belonging to mono series is used in various applications where safety is a key concern such as in espresso coffee machines, steam generators, carpet cleaners, beverage vending machines, water carbonators, smoke generators, spraying systems and water purifiers. This equipment can pump a range of fluids, for example, low viscous syrups, drinkable water, etc.
Syrup series solenoid pump is designed for ...
... fluids, which have viscosity up to 400 cSt and duplex one operates on the oscillating piston principle and is meant for tasks like reverse osmosis, ultra filtration, post-mix drink dispensers, etc.

A small gear pump transfers the liquids by using two rotating gears. It is used in areas like in medical and surgical equipment, laser apparatus, ink-jet printing systems, laboratory instrumentation, cooling systems and sampling. It is known for its compact design and good performance. Furthermore, it can handle a wide range of corrosive liquids keeping the safety feature intact. The housing of this pump and internal materials are made of steel.

The fluids in some applications are quite difficult to handle. Due to this, it becomes hard to figure out the appropriate working solutions. However, with new models of liquid transfer machines, this challenging task has become easier. They create zero noise during their operation. They are free from pulsation and capable to transfer relatively high level temperature liquids with low coefficient of expansion. The strucrture of these equipments involves an inner magnet which is connected to the driving gear and an outer magnet which is joined with the motor shaft.
