Toyota Avensis – Smooth And Comfortable

Toyota Avensis – Smooth And Comfortable
The Toyota Avensis has been made to push things up a notch to add style and a little more than before to the car. The reason being that the market no longer remains satisfied with a car that is just roomy and reliable. A lot more is needed to bring satisfaction these days. So Toyota has brought that in the Avensis. Available in both saloon and estate, the Avensis comes with a range of engines both petrol and diesel. The petrol version is the 1.8 valvematic and the diesels are the the 2.0 and the 2.2 D-4D engines. All of these are powerful and provide a very good performance. When you look at the car it becomes quite clear that with new Avensis a traditional look has been kept and the European type of design and feel, that it previously had, has been increased, so it looks beautiful now.
The design is integrated component architecture and an example of this is the clamshell shut line on the bonnet, this works beautifully with the car and Toyota has done a good job. The front end of the bonnet has a low ...
... style and the space between the grille and the bumper aids impact protection when it comes to the pedestrians. Moving on to the interior of this vehicle that simply is brilliant. It comes with a tightly contructed dash and the materials are all close fitted. The interior is solid and strong and has a feel of power to it. Using and looking at it makes you feel like it won't ever be destroyed. It just looks so well made and physically powerful.
Toyota Avensis also proves to be a much more practical car. It boasts 509 litres of boot and has a spacious loading area, bigger than most in the class, the space can be increased to 1320 litres by folding the rear seats flat with one touch of a button. The Avensis can easily accommodate four full sized adults. Dashboard boasts high quality soft touch materials and the new design of the console has easy to reach controls. If you were to test many of the cars in the same range for a massive 30 000 miles the one that would come out with the best interior and most lasting would for sure be the Toyota Avensis. However, one thing that lacks in this model is excitement.
In this particular sector it has to have been beaten by many. There seems to be no oomph to the interior and not much at all to the exterior. With shallow rotary heating controls and boring mirror controls not to mention the electronic parking brake which you have to look behind the steering wheel to see, it really does need some work. The performance of the Avensis is also great with a smooth and comfortable ride. All the engines offer enough power and torque to give you a very enjoyable and easy drive. Toyota has also worked hard to bring the carbon emissions down. The 2.0L diesel engine now emits 119g/km of carbon (previous value was 139g/km). However the 2.2litre engine is much fuel thirsty.
