Other common styles are the four-poster beds which support a tester on 4 posts, a futon that is a Japanese style of bed which is smaller and suited for single person use and Murphy bed, which is a bed that hinged to the wall and can only be opened up when pulled upon in one room apartments where lack of space makes a traditional bed a hindrance in circulation space.
