My mate’s mad about antique furniture. He’s not really into furniture from the 17th or 18th century, he prefers styles of furniture from the early decades of the 20th century, in particular he’s passionate about the art deco period. I can see where he’s coming from with his choice of Antique furniture, it certainly does have a style all of its own. Take a tour around his home and it’s like a treasure trove for Antique furniture, his pad is filled with all sorts of fabulous furniture. He likes to shop at The Old Cinema for Antique furniture they’re a department store that was once a picture palace that dates back to the 1800s. It’s quite ironic this business sells antique furniture from a building that is so steeped in history.

My pal has taken me with him on a few occasions when he has gone to look at antique furniture at The Old Cinema. It’s quite an experience and I wasn’t expecting so much furniture to be on display. There are literally hundreds of items of Antique furniture in stock with products from the art deco period, arts and crafts collections, Indian and Oriental pieces plus industrial and upcycled furniture as well. If I was shopping for Antique furniture I’d be heading straight to The Old Cinema, their collection of antique, vintage and retro furniture is really quite amazing and I can see why my mate loves shopping at this former picture palace.
