Keep a Close watch on accounts: As a budding entrepreneur you got to keep a very close watch on the company’s accounts. Oversee the operations yourself: The operations of the company must be overseen directly by you for initial few months, at the least. One must always keep in mind that the productivity directly relates to the profitability. Later, you may allow the operations manager to report you weekly or monthly but initially you must oversee it yourself.      
Go global: The mantra that works in the present scenario is “Think local, Act global”. One can no more be a successful entrepreneur unless he/he has a global presence. In order to have a global presence one must not set up global outlets and offices. The world has shrunk in past few years and an online presence can make up for the global presence. Take your business online and it will spread globally. Make use of flourishing e-commerce platform and boost you business ahead. Go big or Go home.
Pay emphasis on HR: Human Resources department is considered as the backbone of the company. If you wish to run your business only for a small span of time then you must not worry about it, but otherwise you need to pay emphasis on HR.  I would personally advise you to use Sage 50 HR so as to efficiently manage the HR. If you find it a bit difficult to use it efficiently, which although it is not, you may pursue a sage online training course for the same.
Understand the importance of Branding: The budding entrepreneurs must understand the immense power of branding. It is not just a word but a way to success. Branding, if done well, reduces half of your efforts later. It leads to acknowledgement of the company, increase in sales, customer loyalty etc. Looking at the present trend, branding can be done through, advertising, conducting events, social networking, blogging and several other channels. Bring forward your unique and creative side and no one can stop your company from becoming a brand.
