It was my girlfriend’s 18th birthday and I wanted to make her day special. Our romantic journey had just picked up the gear and her birthday was an occasion when I could impress her. I had planned the whole day, starting from the morning surprise with a bunch of roses, then going for a movie, a lovely lunch, the boat ride, to the candle light dinner- in short everything was ready and planned. Only I could not decide upon the gift, what I should give her.

Still confused, I sat on the internet and searched in Google. Google presented me with an enormous list of options, which further confused me. So I took some time out, calmed myself and started thinking what it is that she will really like. Finally I hit on the idea of gifting her a handbag. I have often noticed her flaunting her collection of bags and she would love one more addition to it.

So I searched for handbags online and was bowled out with the overwhelming options available for women. Before this, I had no idea that there was such huge variety of ladies bags. Take a look at some of the types so that ...

o Hobos: These bags had a crescent shape and slouchy posture that looked very classy to me. The bag’s handles were moderately long to be slung around the shoulders. There were huge varieties of colours, sizes and materials in which the bag was available.

o Totes: Totes were available in medium to large size to accommodate a large number of things. It had 2 straps. Some tote models had long straps to be slung on shoulders while some had shorter ones to be carried in hand.

o Clutch: Clutches were small but long bags that looked quite stylish. It had no handles and was mostly rectangular in shape. It did not have much space and can accommodate only some vital things, like lipstick, mobile, or other small credentials.

o Duffel bags: These were large in size and had a drawstring opening at the top. I think it will be ideal for use in travel and sports.

o Satchels: These had wide, flat bottom with double handles. There were available in both large and small sizes. These will be ideal for working women to carry their documents and credentials, or women who like elegant and spacious bags.

o Messenger: These bags are to be used by teenagers and college girls. They have a long strap to wear across the body. They were available in waterproof and durable materials and were spacious enough to carry books, water bottles, etc.

o Beach bags: These were large sized and very colourful, giving a beach- side impression. They are great for picnics or carrying to the gymnasium.

After going through the huge collection of bags, I finally chose a messenger bag for my girlfriend, which she could carry to her college after getting admission. All the bags mentioned above are unique and designed for different uses.
