When it comes to the style requirements for an essay at law school, a few pretty simple things essay help tips are good to keep in mind.

1. Follow the format the question specifies

In general an essay at law school is just that – an essay. What’s called for is something like what you would’ve written in an English exam at school if they didn’t ask you to delve into random other forms like transcripts, newspaper articles, journal entries etc. It’s just the bog-boring essay with paragraphs with topic sentences, analysis, and an over-riding argument pulling it all together.

Having said that, in subjects like Foundations of Law or Legal Ethics (a useful subject if you need essay help and want to improve) if the assignment enables you to use a bit more of a creative format (eg using a journal format, or a radio transcript) then it may be a good opportunity to have a bit more fun and indulge ...
... away. Probably best to run any such ideas past your tutor (they can seriously back-fire) and if in doubt just write in the essay help style.

2. Using 1st vs 3rd person

Generally this is a matter of making a judgment call depending on what subject you’re doing and the nature of the question. If it asks you to say what you think (more likely in Foundations of Law and Legal Ethics courses) then the use of the 1st person is normally totally fine. However, 3rd person is always a safe bet, and if in doubt ask your lecturer.

3. Use headings

They are of fundamental essay help importance. Seriously.

4. The use of bullets

While writing in bullet points is generally a no-no for an essay, that’s not a hard and fast rule. If a list is appropriate, bullets can be an easy (and visually appealing) way of conveying the information. However, don’t use bullets as a substitute for writing in proper paragraphs, and if in doubt we’d suggest erring on the side of not using them.
