It seemed that everyone was waiting for the Mazda 6 to see if it could live up to its promise of excellence and it really did. When it comes to the design, whether it's the classy saloon or the sleek looking estate it really is fantastic. Coming with a lightweight construction it is 100kg lighter then the mondeo and the Mazda comes with two engines both of which have a 14.1 compression. This is impressive for the 2.0 litre 143bhp petrol and the 2.2 litre diesel that gives 148bhp. We hope that 2013 will bring more powerful versions of both and Mazda hasn't let us down before. Three grades are available, the SE, SE-L and the Sport. The most popular engine is the diesel which is why it is more expensive. It offers more than the petrol versions when it comes to the drive and the power.

The steering is very precise and makes the drive even more smooth and easy. Mazda 6 does return a good value for money and a great performance which has made it one of the most popular cars. Plus it is also known for its reliability, therefore you do not have to be worried about being stranded somewhere because of any issues with engine. The only thing that may be a letdown with the Mazda is the lack of feel in the drive.

It may seem detached and uninvolved although body movements are very good considering the size. Looking at the interior it can be seen that it has been well laid out and is impressively spacious with adequate head and legroom and a good driving position. The boot is average but then again you can't have it all. However not all is good, the dials are not clear and it lacks intuition in the way everything is operated. It seems boring and unorganized and Mazda still have a lot to learn from models such as the Passat. All in all it is a well built impressive addition to the market. As a family car it has succeeded and has become a favorite and is loved by most despite what it lacks. Offering a fun drive with luxuries fitted in that would normally cost a whole load to install; this particular is impressive and can prove a good buy.
