About Hrd Role In The Oil And Gas Sector
The Human Resource Department (HRD) in any organization is the department that oversees the recruitment of new employees, their appropriate training, administering different kinds of employee benefit programs and several other things.
The different organizations in the Oil and Gas sector are gradually realigning their HR strategies in order to match the core and key business objectives of the Oil and Gas sector. A big issue with the Oil and Gas sector is, it is facing a talent crunch and this has made the role of HR personnel in this sector a lot more challenging. However, the good news is that organizations, albeit few, have realized that the functions of the HR department needs to be addressed if the management wants the organization to function smoothly. Therefore the HR department has been allowed to come up with new managerial techniques like systematic assessment tests based professional recruitment, management based on competency, planning of career and succession and comprehensive compensation models. The HR department of whichever Oil and Gas company can demonstrate such techniques; can ensure the long term success of the organization.
