Sulafest 2013 – Let The Wine And Music Flow
It’s celebration time once again for music and wine lovers with the sixth edition of India’s premiere gourmet live fest set to begin in the first week of February.
Mark your calendars for the 2nd and 4th February 2013 and head over to Sula Vineyards in Nashik to make the most of the two-day music and wine and enjoy the revelries with other like-minded souls. And if you have not made your plans already, make your move now before all the hotels in Nashik are booked to capacity.
While last year’s edition saw the likes of UK-based Nitin Sawhney perform live for the first time ever in India, organizer’s promise this year’s event to be bigger and better. And for those looking to enjoy some great food and music and taste some of the finest wines in the world, the thought is nothing but exhilarating.
Pump Up the Music
While last year’s event was a huge hit amongst music lovers with Nitin Sawhney, Nikhil D’souza, Reggae Rajahs and Su La Take entertaining the crowds with live performances, expect to be entertained this year ...
... by none other than the French Grammy winner Deep Forest who’ll treat you to some heady mix of world music. If you are the kind who loves electro-ethnic stuff, you’d be blow away by the brilliant fusion of ethnic music with electronic sounds and beats.
Other high points of the fest include performances by Indubious - the Oregon-based reggae group as well as the Italian dub artist Gaudi. You won’t miss the local flavour either with Indian heavyweights Whirling Kalapas, Dualist Inquiry and Swarathma amongst a host of other groups who would be performing live.
And this year’s event is also marks the debut of the Electorzone DJ stage which is going to be manned by some of the best in the business. House music lovers are in for some real treat.
Indulge and Explore
For those looking to indulge and explore further, make your way to the Sulafest Bazaar that has a huge collection of hand-picked items and even some quirky gifts for sale. If shopping doesn’t exhaust you, get busy stomping grapes and getting yourself tattooed. And if stomping grapes makes you feel weary, enjoy the luxurious foot massages.
Make sure you check out the Tent City which again is a first in this year’s edition.
