By alternative cancer treatments we mean some of the complementary and some of the alternative treatments for cancer. These treatments are not approved by any of the government agencies. Since manual procedures, devices, herbs, chemicals, exercises and diet come under these categories, none of them are tested nor are they supported by evidence. Many testing of these kinds could not prove their efficacy with any significance. Many times alternative cancer treatments are contrasted with those treatments which are purely experimental. Many experimental testing are in the pipelines, which come under the category of the chemotherapeutic cancer treatment. The efficacy and safety of these treatments are yet to be established.
These alternative treatments can be categorized as 1) alternative cancer treatments, substituting standard medical treatments, 2) alternative cancer treatments, as an add-on to the standard treatment for cancer and 3) those treatments which have been practiced in the past but proved to be unsafe and useless. ... is that all the alternative cancer treatments and complementary treatments are found to be poor in their qualities after (all most all countries have completed their trials to their best, but the results are still unsatisfactory) to treat cancer in a scientific way. So, they are not recommended for managing the cancer treatment.
Having said this, alternative cancer treatment and complementary treatments are still the survival hopes for the cancer patients who choose these treatments in addition to their conventional treatments. Actually, these patients believe that depending solely on the conventional treatment is riskier, so they accept these alternative treatments and complementary treatments with lesser depression and anxiety.

Energy therapy:- Based on the theory that human body has many energy fields and if these fields are manually manipulated to cause changes in the purported energy by the means of therapeutic or Qigong touch or by the applications of electromagnetic fields can bring an end to the disease.
Bio-electromagnetic field therapies:- This treatment uses either direct or alternating or pulsed current in combination with the magnetic fields for treating cancer. Many clinical tests have been conducted to prove the efficiency of this magnetic field therapy, but none could come up with their data support.
Therapeutic Touch or TT: - In spite of the term ‘touch’; the treatment does not involve any direct contact. The person administering the treatment moves his hands a few inches atop the patient’s body to clean up the ‘blockages’, suspected to be present in the patient’s energy fields. The Journal Of American Medical Association have published that no TT practitioner could really detect the ‘energy field’, nor any mainstream scientist could accept the fundamentals of this TT, the subject still taught in the many nursing schools in the North America. Not only this, many nurses in the US and in many other countries practice this TT.
Alternative cancer treatment can be named or mentioned such as Biologic Treatment, shark cartilage therapy, immuno-augmentation therapy, neovastat cartilage extract, bioresonance therapy, laetrile therapy, oxygen and ozone therapy, insulin potentiating therapy and many other practiced by different therapists. The popularities of these treatments wax and wane very shortly.
