Primrose
It's an aherbaceous low growing perennial plant. The flowers are pale yellow, white, red, or purple. It flowers in early spring, one of the earliest spring flowers in whole of Europe. ("Primrose" is ultimately from Old Frenchprimerose or medieval Latinprima rosa, meaning "first rose”.A pink form is widely seen, growing amongst the much more common yellow forms. The wild primrose is a staple of cottage garden plantings, and is widely available as seeds or young plants.

Lesser Celandine
Lesser Celandine is a low-growing, hairless perennial plant, with fleshy dark green, heart-shaped leaves. The flowers come in orange, turning yellow as they grow older. It is a perennial member of the buttercup family. A British native, it grows in woods, hedgerows and on the banks of streams, but can also grow in gardens.

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, celandine comes from the Latinchelidonia, meaning swallow: it is believed that the flowers bloomed when the swallows returned and faded when they left.

The poet William Wordsworth was particularly fond of this flower and it inspired him to write three poems. Upon Wordsworth's death it was suggested that a celandine be carved on his memorial plaque inside the church of Saint Oswald at Grasmere, but unfortunately the Greater celandine was mistakenly used. The flower has also got mentions in poems by Edward Thomas and stories such as The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by CS Lewis,Ithilien by JRR Tolkien and D.H. Lawrence mentions celandines frequently in Sons and Lovers.
