Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa. It is located in the Kilimanjaro national park, Tanzania. It has 3 volcanic mountains KIBO, MAWENZI AND SHIRA.The height of KIBO is 19,341 feet, that of MAWENZI is 16,893 feet and SHIRA is 13,000 feet high. Uhuru peak has been the highest summit located on KIBO’S crater. Kilimanjaro Climb is very attractive to adventure loving tourists and they join trekking the mountain, as it is a walk-up route and not TECHNICAL CLIMB. But the route is dangerous and result in acute mountain sickness (AMS) for the climbers. In fact larger no of persons died during this trekking than that during climbing attempts of Mount Everest. Of course the no of attempts in Mount Everest is much lower. Climbing Mt Kilimanjaro has to be planned properly in advance.
