Stop Using This As A Crutch
Over the years a lot of things, bad habits, have remained unchanged in my life and I finally figured out exactly why. For over 10 years I've had a bad drug problem and each time I would have a night of drugs at the end I would say to myself"Next time will be better, Next time I will do this differently, next time I won't do this" Which made it impossible to move on with my life because I was always thinking about "Next Time".
It used to be whenever someone came up to me and asked if I partied I'd be thinking to myself that this is the Next Time Situation.
With everything I did there would always be "Next Time it will be better" and because of this old habits would not die. Nowadays I have given up completely the drugs, the alcohol, and a few other things and I am able to move forward with my life. It's like when a kid goes on a big roller coaster he says next time I will not be as scared so he rides the roller coaster again and again.
Notice that in the Bible none of the characters are saying "Next Time...." Did Moses say Next Time He would do things differently? What about Jesus? This is why we have so ...
... many habits that we never quit. We use the Crutch "Next Time..." I am sorry to say that it took me so damn long to realize that this was my problem. I spent so much money on these bad habits over the years. Now I am trying to live a bit more frugally. I have spent so much money for antidepressants and other medications because of these bad habits but no more..
Now I can honestly move forward and concentrate on change for the positive. Maybe this lLaw Of attraction thing will now work for me because there are no more Next Times for me. I think the reason there are so many people in NA and AA is because while they were using they were using the crutch. They only have success in forgoing old habits when they stop using the Next Time Crutch. It definitely is something to think about
Now I am trying to increase the size of this article so I have to decide whether I want to use a lot of go nowhere fluff or just keep this article short and sweet. If anybody has any thoughts regarding this I would love to hear them. I will continue this subject in the future rather than Next Time.
