An urban legend which is normally also known as an urban tale is considered to be any kind of story, folk or a tale which may or may not be true. In other words, urban legends are just urban myths or urban tales which are a form of the modern folklore consisting of various stories which are usually not found to be true. The term urban legend came into use in the year 1968 by a professor and since then it is being used by various individuals. Some persons tend to believe in these legends and also make them a part of their own life where as some other populace consider it as a myth.

There are many different urban fables which are being utilised by various directors and producers and these people frame these urban myths into various stories and movies which are made with plotting of many fictitious characters. These normally have a story line of a mystery, horror or fear in it. Usually, these tales serve as cautionary stories to the people.

But there are many movies and motion pictures being made on various myths and these are being loved by a lot of folks. One of the reasons that these are being loved by the folks is that they have a fascinating and interesting suspense story in it which is depicted by various fictitious characters. Such motion pictures are usually perceived by those citizens who have heard it somewhere and felt interested and mesmerized by it.

These kinds of myths or legends are basically like whispering game in which group of individuals sit together and they whisper something in one another ear and the message has to pass. Same is with the urban myths, one person hears it and the myth passes on to other individuals and it spreads. This is the only reason that a myth which has happened in one country spreads and is heard by the citizens of some other country.

Usually, a tale is expressed in order to provide notice to other populace and make them aware of any kind of fortune or misfortune which might happen with them. And the legends are only a manner to capture the minds of the people and many movies or motion pictures are being made by the people which depict the myths and provides knowledge to the individuals.
