Take Care Of Your Corset
Last time at the ball night you were the center of attraction, all thanks to your sexy corsets. Even today the gossip girls were murmuring something about your perfect curves. Isn’t it an amazing feeling to rule the thoughts of the people at the party? Well, your corset took good care of your torso and gave you a sassy hot look and now that the party is over, it’s your turn of pampering the corset. No, you don’t need to give your corset the adoring look nor do you need to move your hand in love over it; rather, all you need to do it is, wash it, dry it and store it.
Though it is recommended not to wash the corset repeatedly or very often, but when you finally wash it, be a little extra careful. Mix a very mild detergent in lukewarm water and hand wash the corset. Soak the dress for some time and then gently rub it either with your fingers or with a soft cloth. Remember the work on the corset is very delicate, if you get harsh on it, you will end up losing the charm of the corset. Thus, it is recommended not to use any brushing over the corset, simply rub it with a soft cloth ...
... and the washing task is done.
Now, when it comes to taking away the soaked water from the corset, I hope you are not thinking of twisting or wringing the dress. However, if you are thinking this way, then drop the idea right away. Instead of this harsh practice, take a soft clean towel and place the corset over it, then take another towel and place it over the corset. Now, roll it and squeeze it gently as you go, thereafter reshape while damp. In the final dry, take the corset and put it directly in the sunlight and if there is not enough of sunlight out there or if its winters, then place a dry towel beneath the corset and leave it in an airy room. It will take time to dry, but then when there is no sunlight, you are left with no other option.
Once the corset is dry, it’s time to store it. However, before you store it back in the cupboard, iron it. Ironing will make the bend bones go straight again, and if the bending is a little worse than what you thought, then first warm the bones and then straight them using your hand. Just make sure that you don’t end up burning your fingers, so again be a little more careful. After ironing the corset roll it and put it in a box. Yes, you need to roll it and while you roll it tighten the laces the way you tighten them when you wear it. This will not allow the laces to tangle and create a mess for you the next time you open your corset.
Further, the idea behind keeping the corset in box is to prevent it from being squeezed amidst of other dresses. Sexy corsets make you feel special when you wear them and thus, your corset needs an extra pinch of pampering as maintenance.
