Exploring The Nascent Café Culture In Delhi

If you are visiting Delhi for the first time, you will find that Delhiites are highly addicted to two things: tea (widely known as ‘Chai’ in India) and coffee. You will find a tea stall on the roadside at almost every road across the city and similarly, the city is dotted with numerous cafes, from budget and premium to the more luxurious ones. You can find good coffee almost anywhere in Delhi. Even the biggest brands of coffee, Starbucks is all set to make its debut in the capital city of India. Students choose the café bars as their favorite hangouts and they usually come in groups of 2 or more to enjoy a sip of coffee while chatting with friends or working together.

The city has café bars, pubs and chocolates houses for people looking for a mesmerizing experience. The high demand coupled with the love for coffee has begun a relentless trend of cafes amongst the Delhiites.
Over the last few years, the profile of the coffee customers has changed completely as has the variety of coffees such as hot coffee, cold coffee, iced tea, hot chocolate coffee, ice cream coffee, low sugar coffee, steamers, and fruit smoothies to name a few. The contemporary coffee houses also serve desserts and continental breakfast items for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian people.

Outside Delhi, in Gurgaon, there are some chic cafes where you can try the Italian taste of coffees along with the conventional coffee.
